The Ringer's 2024 NBA Draft Guide

Welcome to The Ringer's 2024 NBA Draft Guide. Looking at this year's draft class is like heading to your favorite steakhouse only to find out they’re out of steak. Sure, there are still plenty of other delicious options: your trusted bigs, two-way upside wings, and guards who can cook up their own shots. But there’s no Wagyu porterhouse like Victor Wembanyama last year. There isn’t even a consensus on which entrées are the best. Teams will need to make the most of the available menu items to find talent and the best supporting pieces to add to their existing cores. Organizational objectives and philosophies will lead to more disagreement than usual on draft boards, and that’s no different with my own rankings. Lots will change between now and June 26 (and June 27, thanks to the first two-day draft), but here’s my first big board of the year.

Life is full of what-ifs. Like, what if the late draftee ends up having a record rookie season? Or what if your team loses a coach midseason? Well, State Farm can’t help with those, but they do have answers to all of your insurance questions! Like, what if you need help choosing the right coverage? Or what if you get into a car accident? At State Farm, we’re there for your what-ifs. Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. Get a quote today.

Mock Draft By Kevin O'Connor

Every Monday throughout the remainder of the NBA regular season, I’ll be publishing a mock draft with a different theme. In honor of the start of the NCAA tournament, this week’s mock consists entirely of college prospects. To read about G Leaguers and international players, head to my Big Board.
